OLIVE
GROVES

The olive groves, located in the district of Capo le Mole at an altitude between 180 and 250 meters a. s. l., extend over approximately a 9 hectares area. Here the grown variety is 90% Itrana and 10% Leccino. The age of the Itrana trees ranges between 10 and 200, with age-old trees that look like monuments. The special exposure of these olive groves, which protects them from cold northern streams, and the beautiful sunny hills allow us to produce an oil with a rare elegance and strength. In the Casale olive grove, located at an altitude of approximately 450 metres a. s. l., we cultivate Itrana variety trees aged between 100 and 120. The rocks and the steep slopes of the lot make the cultivation difficult, but they reward us with a very fragrant oil having a brilliant green colour. For the maintenance of the turf we use our horses that contain grass growth through their continuous cropping.
